It would be pretty cool to be able to take 1 Class Skill Line from another class of your choice.
I know it will NEVER happen, but it could be pretty cool.
This could easily be implemented, and profitable, by adding a new shrine only available in a new zone. Or maybe we discover the original sky....chunk? Where do these skySHARDS come from anyways? Perhaps a new zone can house the original crystal that these shards came from, and activating it opens a UI that allows you to select another classes skill line to unlock (just one).

1) Battlemage ain't happening because, technically, every class is a Battlemage.
5) Fighters aren't happening because technically every class is a Fighter.I don’t remember barbarians spitting fire or invoking insectsVocalThought schrieb: »13) Barbarians aren't happening because it's covered by Dragonsknights and Wardens.
You can be a barbarian. Just equip two hander skills. Boom, barbarian.proteinexe schrieb: »I really really hope there’s a new class, and I’d love for it to be a battlemage.
I hope ZoS Dev’s read this thread because there’s a good amount of idea’s here, but I see a lot of people saying no new class?
I think the theme ZoS use works incredibly well, and to NOT add a class next year would 1) throw the general playerbase off with the break in ZoS’s trend, but more importantly 2) put a real downer on the update. Although Summerset and Greymoore were incredible, not having a class is definitely a downfall.
Sure, you have the whiners, ‘fix game before add class’, but classes bring people back to the game, and classes keep the game alive. I understand a skill line for 1h and spell would be awesome, but why not revolve a class around that as their unique feature - a **battlemage**.
My thoughts for a battlemage would be a typically melee character with spells as additions to their skill set rather than the damage. So a CC (sidetrack: PLEASE add a CC to this class, not having a solid CC for necro/warden is crippling for certain gameplay elements), which could throw a character up and down, similar to flame clench but vertically. I’m rambling, but a battlemage would be great to see. ANY new class would be great to see, but not adding one I feel would cause an uproar, even if new skill lines are added.
You'd be surprised how many people DO NOT want a class.
People want more weapons, new skill lines for existing classes.
A new class doesn't benefit the majority of the player base. If you don't make new characters or find yourself not using alts as much as your main, then a new class does nothing for those people.
Where as both of the above mentioned ideas benefit ALL players. If they end up adding a new class, they'll be quite dumb considering no class is nearly asked for as much as new weps/skill lines. Necromancer was the last class people really screeched for.
Battlemage, Monk, Dwemer Engineer, and Bard all would not work as good classes in this game as they aren't the kind of classes ESO attracts.
Battlemage already exists in staves/other classes. (Just add in new staves for each of the 5 schools of magic)
Monk cannot be a class as monks do not wield swords/weapons, so their abilities would be kind of weird. Again, just add in a gauntlet-fist-cuff type weapon. There's your monk class.
Dwemer Engineer is just a big no as there is no way a class could be made from this.
Bard already exists in game and you can be one right now.

which works well when there is an event on and everyone's objective in the zone is the same but when there isn't an event on? Dead zone chat and by the time you strike lucky and teleport to the nearest wayshrine the HS is already done and dusted. It's a no from me.
