Hyper veird password message, security issue?

I checked the forums to see if it was something new, wanted to do an reply and had to log in, I then got an incorrect login

Message said that an administrator had likely changed my password, and an link to the password recovery page there I typed my email.

Received an email:

This changed my forum password but not the account or game as they was the same password. Not used other places but assumed forum and account was linked.
I wonder if this is the reason? they found that I used the same password for the forum who is low security and ESO who is high.
