Molag Kena Proc Clarifiction @ZOS

So, we all know the Tooltip says ""consecutive"" but yet many SKILLS used in between still proc it. Not all tho, so let me show you few examples.
For example it works with:
LA>Force Pulse>LA
LA>Wblow>LA
LA>Whip>LA

It does not work with:
LA>Rapid Strikes>LA
LA>Punct Sweeps>LA
LA> Power of the light>LA
LA>Surprise Attack>LA

Now my question @ZOS why does it work on some and why does it not work on some, I do NOT think that this is intended. Whoever created this abomination of Set please enlighten us.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert @Seiffer @Wrobbel

It don't matter lol ZoS takes their sweet little time fixing something then when the fix fails take their time trying to correct it again. So 6 months total for this piece of gear :)

IMHO there are other things they should focus on fixing first that they still haven't corrected since launch -_-

I'm sure it is intended. This is known since this set was introduced and they didn't change it.
And I thinks it's good this way. The only thing they could or should possibly change, is that it works with all weaveable attacks.

Making it so that you need to use 2 light attacks first and then start your rotation, then 2 light attacks again etc, would make this set a DPS killer and simply useless. Another point why it must be intended this way, ZoS is not stupid.
But yea, it should also work for melee attacks maybe. Using 2 pieces is a huge sacrifise when it comes to sustain, it should be rewarded with overwhelming damage.

Then the tooltip is jsut misleading and should be fixed. But I still think its just broken and not intended.

IMO Molag Kena was never meant for sustain DPS. Its purpose is to be used in situations when you know you need burst dps in the next 6 seconds, thats when you proc it hoping to finish the fight off in those 6 seconds. At least thats the impression the tooltip is leaving to me. If its used in different way, thats not even advertised, then its not cool.

The main issue atm, it works with all magicka classes skills, but none of stamina class skills and not dualwield. Which means in all of PvE Magicka classes have a HUGE advantage over stamina because of only this set. They can get it to proc in their rotation, Stamina can not.

I would not mind if it works with every skill, but then IT HAS TO work with every skill, not like it is now...

And I do think ZOS does not know about that ;)

Still barely anyone uses 2 pieces of it. Because the sustain is so bad, most good casters including Dymence etc. still recommend Nerien'eth. So what ? If you make it so that it no longer works with weaving, then nobody would use it at all.

Almost every magicka class in PvE uses this set for trials for example.
This is mainly an issue for PvE as it makes Magicka classes way superior compared to stamina.

I dont say that it is intended but the Tooltip states "Causing damage with 2 consecutive light attacks..." and this is how it is triggered, actually. Because of diffrent travel times of (spell) projectiles like Destro-Staff Light Attack and Force Pulse the 2 LA DO cause damage consecutively. One can check this easily with CombatLog Addons. And thats btw the only way i can make it work. There have to be two consecutive LA damages.
Thats why its only possible with a few combinations, and also maybe why it is not easy/possible to "fix".

I think there is still some builds that can work with this set if it worked as the tool tip stated. Overloading sorcs for one as that is a "light attack." I like to use the bonus in PVP with my werewolf light attacks.

Has there been any update on this or clarification on this from ZOS? The proc still seems to work on some weaving, making it highly overpowered for those rotations, while not working for other weaving and requiring the consecutive light attacks there as per the tooltip.

Yes, they are fixing it so it is not possible to weave between skills. They actually did NOT know that you can weave Kena between skills till up like to 1 month before now. And they could NOT reproduce the bug so sb had to send them video..like wtf..

I actually wonder if they know how to get past Character creating screen.

They've probably tested this with bots again (Im guessing bots cant weave or AC).Couldnt they just hire a team of players to test these things in first hand?

Nothing wrong testing with bots in general.

Is a very reproducable systematic way to test & balance.
And above all: it is objective, never biased.

Finding the loopholes and defects is up to the player base. To us. For big changes in a PTS.
It would be far too expensive if ZOS would do that herself.

However, once we do report an issue, ZOS should have a couple of experienced players on her own salary bill, that can dig in an issue, that can make the deep dive, and enable a swift response to issues.

And perhaps ZOS does so, or something similar.... and changes move much too slow for other reasons.

Fact is that evident non-intended defects take too much time to remedy.

"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".PC-EU

Except their response time with fixing game changing bugs found by players needs improvement.

Last time I tried it (which is to be truthful almost year anyway) it could be procced with 2 light attacks with undamaging (or delayed damage) skill between.

I tried using this set with my petsorc since it is able to sustain just fine, but it gave me about the same DPS as Ilambris.
