    Downtimes for patches/maintenance are simply a sign of antiquated programming and server design.

    Couse, I may be expecting too much from people who can't even get bank items to stack...

    Honest question because I haven't had the chance to play GW2 yet. They release major content updates with zero downtime? They have zero scheduled maintenance?

    Also whats wrong with bank stacking. The items that are supposed to stack do for me.

    Correct on no downtimes. They do hotfixes on the fly. For something REALLY massive they might have to take the system down (Like if they removed a zone) but I never encountered any downtimes.

    As for the bank items stacking, talk to the people who run a guild bank--we have to use third-party add-ons to stack items because the items will not stack in the guild banks.

    nope, and mine ended with the lovely "manifest repair" thingy... YAY! lol. ... it was a fluke! it's back to the performing maintenance message now, hopefully that fixes on its own and I don't have to run a repair because that usually ends with it downloading the whole game again -.-

    I'd strongly suggest not doing a repair until the maintenance is complete. They will probably just re send the patch after the correct it.

    I get the feeling my guess of 3 hours is gonna be a bit short now :(

    yea, i definitely wont run the repair... until I have absolutely no other choice lol. I'm gonna wait it out. restart the launcher, my pc and everything first.

    Mine hasnt before this. My game said 1.4.4 when that came out, 1.4.3 when update 4 launched, and so on.
