Quick question, I couldn't find it anywhere else. (I hate asking for an official response like this, but it actually is kinda time sensitive)

I understand the 300 days paid before March 16th.

Does the 30 days free game time (and 5 days hand-out) count towards the 300 days?

If I purchase another sub on march 13th, do all 30 days purchased count towards the 300, or just ones that have elapsed before the 16th?

I ask this because my GFs account (expired right now, she was going to take some time off before unlimited arrives) has 240 days of paid time, 35 days of "free" time, and she really wants the kitty mount (to ride on her kitty character - her words not mine). If the 35 days count, then I plan to purchase another sub for her to push her over 300 before unlimited. If not, but 60 more days bought BEFORE march 16th happens, I can still sub her for two more months (one now, and one on march 13th) and get her the mount. However, if the 35 days don't count, AND it has to be elapsed paid days and not just payments before march 16th then she is out of luck. Please clarify the rules on this quickly so that I can take the right course of action!

P.S. Reddit is going kinda crazy about this too, if I can get an official response then I would like to post it over there as well so that everyone understands the rules on this exclusive one time mount. Also, I appreciate the unique, sweet reward for those of us that persisted through the entire first year of this MMO with the subscription. The B2P announcement was tough to handle, but knowing that those of us that subbed during the early days and stuck around through the tough parts will have something significantly cool looking makes it easier to swallow.

There are several threads about this already, but there have been answers to this question.

If you are trying to inflate your subscription time to pre T:U ESO by buying and using game time you will not be eligible for the mount at this time.

Basically there is a very small window of between 6-41 days (depends on who you ask and the math they are using) to be unsubscribed to the game pre T:U to be eligible.

From everything I have seen and obviously I don't work for ZOS, but it looks like this is really put out there for the people that bought the game and have never missed a payment. Basically its a reward for people like me who put the game on auto renew the day they bought it and never missed a day.

Is that right? I dunno its up to you to decide right or wrong I guess, but its how it is.

Why is noone up in arms about the 9month costume? Aren't you in the same boat with that if you aren't eligible for the tiger?

The thing about it I find interesting is while there was no "reward" for subscribing and noone knew they would get a cool tiger down the road people dropped subs left and right.

Now that there is something to get for having it, they are trying to retroactively go back in time and re-subscribe for the time they missed by buying future time.

Its a paradox of terminator proportions.

If you took time off, if you unsubbed at any time then you don't get the pretty kitty.

BUT you can bet crowns that Senche tigers in lots of other colors will be available in the cash shop. The only thing that is going to be "exclusive" about this kitty is the color.

    @yodased‌ , that's about it.

OP, free time = not paid time , and they're counting time actually actively subbed before the date in question. (No, the 35 days doesn't count).

Someone does not get to purchase the day before and buy a year's worth of prepaid and get the rewards accordingly.

It's a loyalty reward, plain and simple. I minor "thank you" for those that have endured.

They've already voided the exclusives from Imperial Edition and Explorer's pack by making them purchasable and still valid.

I highly suspect that in a year or so, you'll be able to crown purchase the same reward for your GF.

Well, it mentioned in the article that they wanted to allow for "some" time off. She is currently missing one month in July, and let her sub expire 2 days ago. I don't want to get her something that she didn't earn, obviously. I myself have been subbed 100% since launch. I just want to know the exact rules, because if she has enough time to be capable, I want to do whatever I can to get it for her. I don't want special treatment, just a clear understanding of exactly what the rules are so that I can make an informed decision on re-subbing her to get her a senche mount as a gift.

She doesn't play much in comparison to me, so it didnt make sense to keep her sub going when she only has 1 VR1 character currently (and B2P was announced). But she has been drooling over the senche mount thing for months since it first surfaced on reddit as a possibility in the future. if she's still able to cross that 300 finish line in time, I just want to make sure I know and can swing it. If not, no hard feelings.

I wouldn't waste your money resubbing her if she doesn't want to play because you won't be getting the mount for her.

I would also suggest you never let her see you riding yours :X

:/ Even without the 65 free, I could regular sub 30 days now, (expiring on march 13th), and then regular sub another 30 days. That would technically be 300 days paid before march 16th, would it not? and that isnt doing some crazy 180 days of pre-paid time as others are suggesting. Its just reactivating the normal monthly sub starting now. I appreciate the forum feedback, but I would really like a Zos person to lay out the nitty gritty rules. The road ahead article was clear, but vague at the same time... If they posted "Free time doesnt count, paid time ELAPSED before march 16th" or "free time counts, paid time NONELAPSED before march 16th counts", or "if 1/10th of free time plus all paid time minus 10 per lapsed subscription event, multiplied by 10 to the jesus > apple pie, you get the mount.

trying to understand the semantics vs meaning of ZOS is impossible sir.

They say what they want you to hear and mean something completely different in the end.

"What they should have said is" is probably the most trended google search about ZOS since 1.3 -> undaunted retro -> CP debacle -> etc etc etc lol

Yodased, you have a point. I know she barely plays, but 30 bucks to put a smile on her face for 30 minutes before she again gets frustrated because she is bad at video games kinda seems worth it. That and the jealousy that would ensue from me having it and her not would be unbearable.

ZOS, please save my relationship and tell me how to proceed!

Not subbing risks loss of loyalty rewards. Not trying to be harsh, but that's how they work.

Wouldn't be much of a reward if you could just get a 'do-over.'

If you've played since launch, you'll have the 300 days. Launched in April, 30 days don't count. 300 days basically lets you have two months shy of a year on board.

That makes it May. Looks like you have about a 2 week window max that could be missed.

Buy her a panther pet or a Guar mount. Tell her it's the best you could do for now.

No need to be a jerk when OP has a legitimate issue that ZOS has failed to communicate clearly. As OP mentioned, ZOS' 300 day requirement can reasonably be interpreted to include the 30 + 5 days that were given out for free. The problem is that it isn't clear whether this is the case or not.

In the german part this has been answered by a staff member:
They count payed days, not used days. So I guess if you buy some time cards(if you can get any) or sub for 3 month more you could get that kitty.

But I think they will make this clear and answer it in tonights 'ESO live'

If they only count paid days why did they say from April to March 17th? April was not paid by anyone. I wonder is this the same mod who claimed the 6 month sub was removed because it was "unpopular"?

No, the mod with the unpopular comment (lol) was from the french part. And in german forum they discuss about a last minute change. See all those moneysacks who want a kitty? Why not let them spend some precious money
on some time cards or subs?

@Aeratus, if I was being a jerk about it, I wouldn't have included the bolded statement above. The one you clearly didn't read.

And since, as with the other loyalty rewards (This is ZoS's term, btw, so save your rebuttle), the 30 day free time did not count towards that total.

The answer provided was based on historical evidence in effort to save OP some time (and $) and the wrath of people far worse than I.

Give me a moment to consider your opinion about my response.

    :'(

    There. Now I feel better.

Thing is tho this mount is not like the other loyalty rewards. So they may use different criteria. They clearly said from April (which noone paid for) to March 17th originally. Why include April? Noone paid for April it was a free month came with the box.

This is why they need to be more clear. all they had to say was 300 days paid which includes the 30 days free with the box purchase. Or not. Instead they just leave people to wonder what they mean and how it works. Be specific and clear then people wont be wondering if they get this mount or not.

Yea, that's all im asking for. Let me know the specifics on the rules for this loyalty reward and I'll be content regardless of whether or not I can get her a kitty. unlike the other ones, the program stops on march 17th. It doesnt just turn into a waiting until you accumulate the months. So if I am at a tipping point right now (resub today-march 17th and she gets it, or resub tomorrow and be too late) then I really want to know so that I can make the right choice.

This time its a little more time sensitive, not just a patience thing.

To clarify, the information that was posted in the Road Ahead article is correct.

You must have paid for 300 days of game time prior to March 16th in order to qualify for the mount.
The 300 days of paid time does not need to elapse prior to March 16th.
This time does not need to be consecutive.
The 30 days of game time that were included with the initial game purchase do not count towards the mount
Days compensated by customer support also do not count.

I was wondering about that too. I was in beta but wanted the game on the console and didn't want to buy it twice. Then when the console delay was announced with a transfer I bought the game and have been auto-renewing ever since. My March payment will make 300 paid days but half would be after the change over. I've been as loyal as anyone who put up with the delay and lack of information and all the "it will never get to console" nay-sayers so I want my Tiger to go with my Monkey and my Scuttler.

This will set the bar significantly lower than what I believed was necessary to get the mount.

With this new calculation, it's possible for someone's paid time to have started on 8/16/2014, and they would still get the mount.

8/16/2014 until 3/16/2015 is 212 days. At that point, someone could set up a 3-month sub for an extra 92 days, putting them at 304 days, and get the mount.

I believe this should reward people that have been here since Day One, not people that joined four months after launch.
