@ the op, thankfully the last set I crafted of it was only upgraded to green because I wasn't using it as much. But still.

What money spent crafting and upgrading it? Everything needed to craft and upgrade the set can be found everywhere for absolutely free. I have almost a million in gold worth of tempers in my inventory that didn't cost me anything at all to obtain.

I have this set, which I'll be deconning tonight as it's junk to me now. I'm annoyed, but I've learned that this kind of thing happens in ZOSland and I either need to get used to it or GTFO. That being said, it was a terrible combat set and anyone upgrading it past green or maybe blue was just throwing gold/mats down a skeever hole.

Refunds? Why bother. I'd rather be complaining about stuff that's really broken.

Never saw a reason to upgrade this set past green.(for me anyway) It was a traveling set, didn't even craft it at my level, crafted a VR3 NS set for my VR6(at the time) character and swapped it out when I got to where I needed to be in Cyrodiil.

My son's NB is just nuts on the weapon damage, weapon crit and stamina potions.

I think I dropped about 1500g on a few improvers. She makes about 2000g an hour these days.

I run mostly purple, the few points is not worth much, especially in PvE. I'll use my yellow stuff, I have quite a bit, for PvP which I will get to soon.

I buy improvers these days. There are some smokin' deals at the Guild Traders. Even yellows can be had fairly reasonably. Bought some mastic yesterday at about 600g apiece. Reasonable price I thought.

That doesn't even make sense if you think about it.

The sneak speed did NOT apply when you were in combat. It isn't like a sneaky Nightblade vamp could shadow cloak and zip around at super-gank speed. You had to be OUT OF COMBAT for it to work.

So, what were people even crying about? Did they even know, or is this yet another example of mindless mob-think auto-parroting whatever they hear without knowing what they are talking about? The later, I say.

I mean what, so it helps someone get position for a backstab on the initial hit of combat just a little bit easier? Right, because it is so hard to Ambush or Lethal Arrow.

This is the most ridiculous fix I have seen ZOS make, apart from all the fixes that were actually breaks.

It's good that you didn't upgrade to gold, it was a smart move and a gold upgrade is dumb anyway, imo. But some people did, some people might even have used this as their primary set.

And mastic for 600 is what, 200 off the regular, take 200 off a gold item and you have about 2k-2.8k per. That's not including the kuta for gold enchants if you go all out.

LOL. None taken but it is a fact that you can get all kinds of stuff very reasonably at the Guild traders. Recently:

30 Bugloss 900g, one of the big three. I can make 120 potions with the other two at the same number.
100 Ironweave 900g, I quit looking for mats in that category, not worth my time.
Shield with Divines 120g, my 8th trait for that.
Staff with Sharpened 200g, again the 8th trait I needed.
5 Donatas 1200g leveled my enchanter with that purchase.

I could go on.

If you're serious...
After researching, I think I'm going to go with, ironically enough, Vampire's Kiss. Even if I have to get all my own improvers again at least it's a start on a useable set. What motifs do you have? I'd love Daedric or Ancient Elf (would likely prefer the latter) but will also happily enough settle for Red Guard as that makes a pretty dress as well.

well I think the point is, even if you get the gold mats at a steal for their price, you are still sinking 8 of them per piece of armor. So you are going to spend a lot of money.

And ZOS regularly changes the sets with no refunds or anything like that.

I can do Redguard. I have no fancy motifs yet. Shoot me your name in a PM if you want. Vampires Kiss ... hmm I may need a few days to do all light. The shoulders are still in research my only 5 trait thing left. The rest is easy. I can do medium shoulders and the rest.

I'm bummed that I can't sneak around faster than on my horse, but fair is fair. At least now I have a reason to use hundings rage 5 piece set in its place, should be hitting harder with my bow attacks. As far as upgrading to legendary I don't know if I ever will unless I didn't have to pay for mats (ie from hirelings) as this game is to transitional to sink money into gear yet.

It really did look like a lot of fun, I never indulged almost regrettably. Being a slave to Seducer and Shroud of the Lich, the thought of changing inspires dread.

Perhaps maybe contacting Clavicus Vile through a shrine at earliest convenience? I've heard he's very compassionate when It comes to granting desires.
